For example, if you want to do an Exacta or Exacta Box. Both times were spent in the Skybox Suites. Also, be sure to use your Mlife Card when placing your bets ro earn comps on food and rooms. Staff members working the counters are the best. It's not one of the biggest sports books in Vegas, but it's not the smallest either which is nice. There were a few other patrons throughout the day and we still had a good amount of privacy from them. At many sportsbooks, I find it challenging to get a drink. It was pretty empty, so it was nice and relaxing. The best shows in the world. Could be a fluke but who is to say. During these game days, the Skyboxes have a light buffet available and a dedicated host. Not a huge amount of seating either. They always have plenty of tables and seating available for everyone. They're equipped with large, extremely comfortable leather reclining chairs facing the front and additional couches and seating at the rear of the box for hanging out with a group or dining. Want to bet on horses? I'm guessing the chances of getting in without Platinum or Noir reservations on a busy event day or slim to none. Name the venue, race numbers, and horse number and amount. As for the set up, it's a nice place to sit and watch the games. Very swanky. Hopefully, they don't find out I have been investing all of it at the sportsbook. If the Lakers win by 7 then it is a push and you get your money back. There are also plenty of food options close including a little coffee shop on the corner that serves a very limited selection of food. We also grabbed a couple of the reclining chairs in the very front so the TV views were fabulous. It's an ok place to watch a game if you're staying at the MGM Grand and more concerned with placing bets than getting the best view of the game. Always a good spot to place your bets and catch a game or two or three! Nothing different from any other 'book for placing your bets. A very large sports book. Remember, the experience is all for entertainment. Drinks keep coming as long as you tip the cocktail waitress well. My husband is the sports book fan in the family, so betting-wise I have no review to place. The servers are on it. Not sure if he was the bar back and not the bartender proper, or if he was off the clock, or just didn't want to deal with me, but an eye roll is not the way to handle that. It can get very loud when all the seats are filled. It just could be a bit more friendly. Solid-ish sportsbook, if you're not drinking or eating. Sports book was very nice and the people working seemed bored. Write down the number of the game you want and read the number of the bet, then say the team, and amount wagered. Customer service was outstanding and they were helpful to me in placing a few bets. If you are new to sports betting, here are a few tips. I hate when the smaller sportsbook screens keep rotating numbers because there is not enough space on the board. It just gets ridiculously crowded. Most importantly, ask for the drink ticket. Oh well, it's just money. Also, the area is always cleaned, and they move out people who are loitering, and those who are passed out. Not here. I hate seeing people get upset over losses. It still is going to be a ripoff but maybe it will be better. My kids don't need that college fund. Sometimes they are lucky. The boards are well organized and easy to read. It was difficult to locate a server for drinks, but it was easy to go downstairs and order directly from the Sports Book bar FYI: bar tabs can only be opened if you are physically sitting at the bar.{/INSERTKEYS}{/PARAGRAPH} But the bartenders in that particular area are surly and rude- coming up to get a drink to two guys standing together, one rolled his eyes at me and gestured to the other bartender when I tried to place my order. Lots of TVs. I don't mind helping. Make sure to have your bet ready to go. I never go thirsty while I'm there. If they throw in a couple extra drink tickets, throw them a few more bills. Got to remember that there were no big games on so I kinda had the whole place to myself and they even agreed to change the big screen to allow me to watch the Yankee game!!!! Or book with a VIP host. I don't really gamble that much, but this can be fun for those who like to bet on sports and other things. Seats do get hard to come by so be sure to het in early on game days. These suites are located on the private second level and overlooks the Sports Book with a great view of the televisions. The bartenders here are surly. A great amount of TV's, but not many big ones. Then double check your ticket before walking away from the counter. Our first visit was on a Sunday during regular NFL season and fortunately was not very busy. Remember to always tip at the counter when placing bets. Write a Review. Maybe get a drink at one of the other bars. Skip parlay bets that are more than 3 teams. Believe me, they know who is tipping and they take care of their customers. Your ability to get into the VIP area without reservations is a mix between first come first served and your MLife level. I was very surprised it was so empty because when I went to a sports book about 1 hr. Also, it's okay to ask for drink tickets. Sometimes you'll luck into a free drink coupon with your bet though, which is a plus. Service was fantastic. Courteous and professional. They are fun little bets and you risk just a few bucks. Expected, but still bullshit. I've been here a few times, but have stayed just twice for a long duration. {PARAGRAPH}{INSERTKEYS}For Businesses. They don't reserve seating on the floor, but they have VIP suites upstairs that can be reserved by Platinum and Noir members can make reservations. The drink service is the best at this sportsbook. Take them for what they are worth. Speaking of seats, these are some of the most uncomfortable. The second time we utilized one of the Skybox suites was the opening of the college football season last week. I wish I could bet on X Games, Olympics, and the Dew tour, but other than that awesome facility and amazing service. Fun atmosphere and lots of games. If you are betting the spread for an NBA game for example the Lakers -7 vs the Knicks, it means the Lakers need to win by 8 for you to win. This is my favorite large sportsbook on the strip. I like that it's somewhat tucked away, but accessible to the casino and rooms. Later at another hotel it had thrifty people in it playing the horses. Have fun! Speaking of betters, or bettors, you can do a lot here. The drinks are such a ripoff. Maybe because it was totally empty. I do meet a lot of people who are new to the game when I am hanging in the sportsbook and want to try it for the experience of being in Vegas. The boxes are spacious and equipped for 10 people a couple of the boxes can be arranged to fit 20 people. Lots of screens, seating isn't exactly comfortable but there are two or three different types of chair styles to pick from as well as booth-style seating along the back wall.
